This seemed a good day to step away from the RPGs for a moment and open this up to anyone reading. What is a good charity for people to give to and why?

Starting with one that is close to home — Operation Tabletop looks to help prevent suicide by giving vets “a sense of connection and community”.

Stop Soldier Suicide is the only national nonprofit organization devoted entirely to combating suicide among American Veterans and service personnel. Their team focuses on care and research that minimizes Veteran and service member suicide. Their ultimate goal is that by 2030, they can cut the rate of military suicide by 40%.The organization is by Army Veterans Brian Kinsella, Nick Black, and Craig Gridelli, who are creating a solution for their fellow Veterans. With their experience, they hope to be more proactive and really identify the underlying issues of this crisis and address them head-on.

The Lifeline for Vets helps Veterans with a range of needs, such as access to healthcare, counseling for PTSD, advocacy for VA benefits, food, housing, work, training, legal assistance, suicide prevention, and more.However, for these Veterans, the National Veterans Foundation offers a crucial service.

One of the few groups fighting for the economic as well as social freedoms of Americans is the Institute for Justice. They have been instrumental in fighting against government overreach over the years, and best of all — they tend to win.
