I just wanted to post a thanks to Bill Armintrout and “The Miniatures Page” for pushing a bunch of traffic this way today.

Well, after six months of fatherhood with little to no exercise, my blood pressure’s been hovering in the 150/100 range and I’m up to 191 lbs. as of yesterday. So today was my first day at the gym, swimming.

Despite the near total sedentary lifestyle, I did 10 laps in under 15 minutes with only two 1 minute breaks in a 25 yrd. (Olympic short length) pool. 350m or .21 mile.  Not too shabby for just jumping back in.

To those who have been purchasing my books on Kindle and Amazon. I truly appreciate the support. Sales of Perseus have been best in the US, Cawnpore — as expected — is selling better in the UK. The big surprise has been the sales on The Reluctant Imperialist — all about the same time, late August; I’m wondering if someone is using it as an assigned text?

I would love it if those who have bought and read could give a review at the Amazon Kindle pages for the respective books. It’ll help sales, and give me an idea of what I did right/wrong in these works. With work on Cubicle 7’s Marvels of Science and Industry for their Victoriana RPG line out of the way, I’m hoping to publish a modern western/murder mystery set in New Mexico, and a post-apocalyptic novel sometime in the next year, if the dissertation permits.

Once again, thanks!

Black Campbell just had its second best day since I started it about two years ago. For all that visit regularly, thanks. For those that comment regularly, thanks again for makng this blog a bit more enjoyable to do.
And again, it you like what you are seeing, please take a moment to check out my novels and RPG work. Every buck means I get to spend more time writing and working on material for this blog.

My novel Perseus should be going live on the Kindle Store and Nook in the next few days. It’s a retelling of the old Greek myth. I went through a bunch of the original versions of the story to get back to the basics, then added the important backstory of the internecine fighting between the Greek gods.
